Q. What is the due date of taxes?
A. In 2011, property taxes are due October 15th. The due date is voted annually at Town Meeting and does therefore change from year to year. Ordinarily a Saturday near the middle of October is chosen.

Q. When will I receive my tax bill? 
A. Tax bills are ordinarily mailed in mid-July.

Q. What period of time does my tax payment cover?
A. Taxes are billed annually to fund the Town fiscal year of January 1st through December 31st and the School District fiscal year of July 1st through June 30th. Your tax payment in October, therefore, contributes to the budget years, of both the Town and the School District, that are currently in progress at the time of your payment.
